Kerry Washington is an American actor, producer, and director. She is well-known for starring as Olivia Pope in the ABC drama series Scandal.

Kerry Marisa Washington was born in The Bronx in 1977. She is the daughter of Valerie and Earl Washington.

In 2013, she married former football player Nnamadi Asomugha.
