I found the child Walter (Jr) as an offspring of Walter & Rebecca (Ward) Allen in Ancestry.com. The name is certainly suggestive of a match, as is the date of birth. The lengthy gap between Rebecca's children Abigail and Benjamin is unusual for that time. I think that the reason for Walter's parents "not known" status in the other profile is that it was left unfinished at the time of creation. When I tried to add the parents I'd found, to that record, the database referred me to the merger process rather than go forward with an obvious duplicate. Eric
