Biography

Birth

Jason Walker was born on 15 Dec 1785, probably at Livermore, Maine, (then in Massachusetts) the son of John Walker and Mary (Gibbs) Walker^[1]

Marriage

Jason Walker married Nancy Hyland at Mendon, Massachusetts, on 25 Oct 1808.^[2]

Children

Jason and Nancy "Anna" Walker recorded two children at Livermore, Maine (then in Massachusetts), in 1809 and 1811, and six at Mexico, Maine, between 1823 and 1832. In addition, Jason H. Walker (born about 1819) was almost certainly their son and is known only from census records. There were undoubtedly childen born at Livermore after 1811 whose births were not recorded; the Walkers were still at Livermore in 1820, when the census shows them with a household including four chldren, three male and one female.^[3] The vital records of births at Livermore are incomplete for many families, with gaps especially prevalent between 1810 and 1820.

Death

Jason Walker died in 1842, and he is buried at the Old Mexico Corner Cemetery in Mexico, Maine.^[12]
