Biography
Levi Walker was born at Medway, Massachusetts on 11 Mar 1784, the son of John Walker and Mary (Gibbs) Walker, and was baptized there on 25 Jul 1784. The birth is recorded in the vital records of Livermore, Maine,[1] and the baptism in the published vital records of Medway.[2]
- Methodist minister for 12 years
- 1/1819, installed Warwick Church after preaching there for 2 years
- 12/1819, preached at Preston, CT
- changed views on baptism turned him to Baptist church
- preached in Fall River, New Bedford, and Edgartown, Mass
- Preston then North Stonington, CT
- also a physician
