Robert Vessey was born in England in 1815, to Benjamin Vessey and Sarah Dawson.^[1] He was Christened on 26 Feb 1815.^[2]

Robert Vessey married Ellen Marsden in Liverpool, England, on 27 April 1847.^[3]

Robert and Ellen moved to Wisconsin, USA, and had seven children, as of the 1870 US Census.^[4]
