Biography
Pierre Veilleux and his twin brother Thomas were born and baptized on 3 Apr in Saint-François-d'Assise parish in Beauceville, Bas-Canada. They were the sons of Jean Veilleux, farmer, and Cécile Jacques. Sponsors at Pierre's baptism were Pierre Bolduc and Josephte Letourneau; neither sponsor signed the register.
At age 26 Pierre married Luce Cressac on 4 Oct 1830 in Saint-François-d'Assise parish in Beauceville. The couple received a dispensation for the fourth degree of consanguinity. There were 12 known children born into this marriage.
