Doris, you were curious about the Lewis connection. You and I are 22nd cousins twice removed. The connection finder shows us at 20 degrees. My great-grandmother was a Lewis. Wikitree's connection finder shows my connection to you through my paternal grandmother Ella "Mary " Vickers' Ebbott line So there must be a Lewis somewhere in your extended family tree. I can try and connect the dots further if that will help.

Thank you sir. I overlooked your email but did send a reply. Interesting but Daniels is also a surname at the top of my DNA matches. Oh man!!! There must be some big wave of old LDS/Mormon history in my lines because my list of surnames doesn’t know where to stop 😂

Exploring the site is the best way to learn. One way to do that is to check out the drop-down menus on the top right side of your profile page. Finding a known ancestor and collaborating with the profile manager is another great way to start.

You mentioned that you don’t know much about your family tree yet. I assume you are new to genealogy. No problem! Every genealogist is a beginner at some point. Take your time, keep track of sources, and ask questions. Check here for tips.
