Cornelius C. "CC" Vaughn was born on 21 Dec 1846 in Dinwiddie County, Virginia, USA. He married on 15 Sep 1881 in Logan County, Kentucky, USA to Ella Slaughter. ^[1]

He was ordained in September 1877 at the First District Association by a council including George Washington Dupee and Allen Allensworth

C. C. Vaughn was a US Civil War soldier, ^[2] Baptist minister at Russelville Colored Baptist Church, and educator in Ohio and Kentucky, USA.

His daughter Sadie was a teacher who died in 1912 ^[3] at age 18 of tuberculosis.

He died on 21 Oct 1923 ^[4] and was buried at Maple Grove Cemetery in Russellville, Logan County, Kentucky, USA. ^[5]
