Biography

John was baptised^[1] in 1724 at Wykeham, Yorkshire. He was the son of Thomas Vasey and Anne Beswick. John possibly married late, in 1761 at Brompton by Sawdon, Yorkshire and/or in 1770 at Wykeham and may have had three children including a son. He died in 1808 at Ruston and was buried^[2] at nearby Wykeham leaving a will. The death duty register recorded him as a Yeoman from Ruston, suggesting his older brothers may also have been Yeomen and probably his father as well.
