Biography

Elizabeth married John Cromwell in Massachusetts in about 1640. She possibly emigrated alone. She lived in Scituate before moving to Westchester, New York,

Death possibly 1689 or 1690 in Westchester. Westchester land records show that Elizabeth sold or gave land to the following people in 1688-89: James Cromwell, Henry Gardiner, Josiah Hunt, Nathamiel Underhill. ^[1]

In 1696, an agreement was signed by Elizabeth Cromwell, Henry Gardiner and his wife Elizabeth that if they took care of Elizabeth, they in turn would receive all her moveable at her death, and four cows. She was infirmed "of body by reason of old age and darkness of sight that I cannot take care of myself for a comfortable livelyhood".^[2]
