Soldier Boy Buried With Patriotic Honors

David Robinson Tweed was born November 29, 1893, and died January 23, 1918, being 25 years, 1 month and 25 days old. His entire life, with the exception of the time he was at Camp Doniphan, was spent at Carlton. There he went to school and to church and worked on his father's farm. About six years ago he united with the Presbyterian church, and will be remembered as a consistent and faithful Christian. In response to his country's call he enlisted last July, and on August 5 joined Company H, later going to Camp Doniphan, where he died. The flag which covered his casket was a personal gift of Captain Browne. He leaves his father and mother, a younger sister and brother, and a host of friends. Funeral services were held Saturday morning, January 26, in the Presbyterian church, Rev. S. H. Maxwell officiating.
