Marriage of Hugh Tweed and Nora Rogers
AFTER MANY DAYS
Yesterday a pleasant wedding ceremony took place at the residence of Sheriff D. W. Naill which made man and wife of Mr. Hugh R. Tweed, of Carlton and Nora Rogers, of Westerville, Ohio, Rev. W. H. Zimmerman, officiating.
The wedding was the latest chapter in an unusual little love-story, capable of being developed into a pretty romance. It seems that some ten or twelve years ago the bride and groom were acquainted in Illinois. Mr. Tweed came west and an irregular correspondence was kept for a time. Then it was dropped and for many years they seemed to have forgotten each other. But when he had secured a neat little. home he began to wonder whom he should have as a helpmeet and companion. His thoughts naturally turned to the girl he left behind him, who was now living in Ohio. He wrote to her; she was willing; he proposed going after her; she said she would come out alone and save expenses; he said "all right;" she came; the attraction was mutual; a license was procured, a minister summoned, friends invited, and in less than four days after her arrival they are living on the farm, spending the honeymoon, as happy as the brightest dreams could picture.
The wedding was witnessed by only a few friends of the interested parties.
