Addie Mae "Vivian" Turk was born on November 5, 1892, in Jacinto City, Texas, her father, William, was 31, and her mother, Johanna, was 26. She married Herbert Ashton Ostrander on January 17, 1909, in Houston, Texas. They had one child during their marriage. She died on February 18, 1957, in Houston, Texas, at the age of 64, and was buried in Pearland, Texas.
