Birth/Baptism

Amelia Tuck was born in 1814, in Manton, Preshute, Wiltshire, England.

Amelia, daughter of Joseph Tuck & Charlotte Tuck former formerly Heath, was baptised on 24 July 1814 in Preshute, Wiltshire, England.^[1]

Marriage

She married John Kidson about 1834.

Their first daughter, Catherine born 1835, unfortunately died within a year old. Their next children born in Buckinghamshire, England were: John born 1836, Amelia born 1838, Sarah born 1840.

Emigrated

Amelia, her husband John and their three children emigrated to New Zealand in 1841 on the Bolton. This ship left from Gravesend (a town on the Thames estuary) on 29 October 1841 and arrived at Nelson on 15 March 1842^[2]
