Jacob Nichols Trundle was born in 1845 in Montgomery County, Maryland. He was the son of Hezekiah Trundle and Mary (Nichols) Trundle.
26 July 1862 Jacob enlisted in Co H CSA Army, Shelby's 5th Regiment Missouri Cavalry. (Details are taken from findagrave.com)
After the war he was employed as a clerk aboard the Steamer G A Thompson. This steamer burned and sank in the Arkansas River. Jacob was listed among the missing.''
