Biography

Jonas P. Tracy, son of Moses Tracy Sr. and Esther (Tracy) Tracy, was born about 1771 at Preston, New London, Connecticut. He was baptized on 12 May 1771 at Preston.^[1][2]

He married Susannah Curtiss^[3][2]

Jonas died on 27 Dec. 1852 in Broadwell, Athens County, Ohio and was buried at Broadwell Cemetery, Broadwell, Athens County, Ohio. His memorial has links to those of family members.^[2]

Paternal relationship is confirmed by a triangulated group on MyHeritageDNA consisting of Philip W. Smith and 7th cousin once removed Kimberly Mance, granddaughter of Agnes Marie (Robbins) LaNear and 8th cousin once removed John Maloney son of Mary Diana (Tosi) Maloney, sharing a 8.7 cM segment, from 82,831,421 to 95, 836,300 on Chromosome 5. Their ancestors are siblings David Tracy, Johnathan Tracy, and Hannah Tracy, children of the ancestral pair: Jonathan Tracy I and Mary (Griswold) Tracy.
