When Nehemiah Tracy was born on 23 March 1744, in Norwich, New London, Connecticut, his father, Josiah Tracy, was 25 and his mother, Rachel Allen, was 24. He married Miriam Waterman on 12 February 1767, in Norwich, New London, Connecticut, United States. They were the parents of at least 5 sons and 4 daughters named - parents of Irene, Edmund, Alanson, Burrel, Irene, Dosha, Zalmon and Ira Tracy. He died on 4 February 1784, in Pittsfield, Berkshire, Massachusetts, United States, at the age of 40.
