- EDWARD BROOKE, Knt., 6th Lord Cobham, of Cooling, Kent, and Olditch , etc., son and heir, born about 1415 married on or before 2 Feb 1436/7 ELIZABETH AUDLEY (or TUCHET), daughter of James Tuchet (or Audley), Knt., 5th Lord Audley, by his 1st wife, Margaret, daughter of William Roos, K.G., 6th Lord Roos of Helmsley They had one son, John, Knt. [7th Lord Cobham], and one daughter, Elizabeth.

- JAMES TUCHET (or AUDLEY) Knt., 5th Lord Audley, son and heir, born about 1398, married (1st) by papal dispensation dated 24 Feb. 1415 MARGARET ROOS (or ROS), daughter of William Roos, K.G., 6th Lord Roos of Helmsley, by Margaret, daughter of John de Arundel, Knt., 1st Lord Arundel. They had one son, John, Knt. [6th Lord Audley], and two daughters, Anne (wife of Thomas Dutton, Knt.) and Elizabeth.
Research Notes
Birth year estimate: Born 1433 is incorrect and is not sourced. Her mother died before 14 Feb. 1430 (when James & Eleanor Holand recieved papal dispensation to marry Eleanor Holand). Her parents married c1415, and she married 1436/7. Her husband was born c1415; profiles for her children have birth years of 1441 and 1450. A birth year guess of 1420 fits better with these dates.

I'll see if I can find a post that fits the footnote in the Google copy of the soc.gen.medieval (SGM) archives. When Ancestry took over Rootsweb, they "lost" all the pages and only restored a fraction of what had been - including most all of the SGM archive. While it's good that Google has the SGM archive too, the message numbers aren't the same.
