Constance Audley, daughter of Sir James Tuchet, 5th Lord Audley, and his second wife Eleanor Holand, married Robert Whitney, Esq., of Whitney, Herefordshire.[1] They had two daughters, Joan and Eleanor (wife of Thomas Vaughan, Knt., of Bredwardine). Robert married (2) Elizabeth Vaughan, daughter of Thomas Vaughan, of Hergest, Herefordshire, by Ellen Gethin, daughter of Dafydd ap Cadwgan ap Phylip Dorddu (they had four sons and three daughters). Robert died shortly before October 6, 1494.[2]
Constance, daughter of Sir James Tuchet, 5th Lord Audley, by his 2nd wife Eleanor, illegitimate daughter of Sir Edmund Holand, 4th Earl of Kent,[5] married Robert Whitney, Esq., of Whitney, Herefordshire, son of Eustace Whitney, Esq., and Joan, daughter of Sir William Trussel.[6] Robert and Constance had two daughters:[7][6]
↑ April 1443, per Touchet-25 (no sources), but reasonable:
Estimated date: James and Eleanor married February 1430 and had 6 children - 3 sons and 3 daughters, with Constance listed last (which could mean she was their sixth child or their third, if the girls were all born first, since Richardson lists sons and daughters separately #RA). If their first child born in 1431, and subsequent children born two years apart, that puts the birth year estimate for their 6th child at 1441.
Death date of 1531, entered by Roger Travis on Dec 30, 2011, is more likely for Robert's second wife, Elizabeth, who was living 4 May 1525. Richardson does not give a date for Robert and Elizabeth's marriage (#RA). WikiTree shows them as married c1465 with children born in 1470 and 1472 (only two of Elizabeth's seven children with Robert have WikiTree profiles)

Thanks. As you will have seen, this profile is on the (long) list of profiles managed by the Magna Carta Project that need attention. No good source has yet been found for the birth date of Constance, nor that of her daughter Ellinor, and both are given as "about", to rounded dates. This can be looked at when this profile is overhauled by the Project - but if someone wants to research sooner, please do.
