Biography
Joan was born and baptised[1] in 1618 at South Mimms, Hertfordshire. Her parents names were not included on her baptismal record though and so are unknown. Joan was married[2] in 1656 at South Mimms to John Brock, a Husbandman. The fact that Joan was about 37 years old when they wed likely explains why they had just two children, both sons, at South Mimms. However, after this neither Joan nor John could be traced again, suggesting perhaps that they had moved away from South Mimms.
