Biography

Henry Thompson was born about 1570 in England. He was "the son and coheir of Thomas Thompson of Sandwich Merchant and she eldest daughter of Robert Honywood of Pett in Charing Esq."

He married Dorothy Honywood about 1586 in England.

They had issue: 5 sons and 3 daughters

He died about 1648 in Lenham, Kent, England, and was buried in the St Mary Churchyard, Lenham, Kent.[2]

Inscription: Here under lye the bodyes of Henry / Thompson and Dorathy [sic.] his Wife of Royton / Chappell in this parish. Hee was sonne / and coheire of Thomas Thompson of / Sandwich Marchant and shee eldest / daughter of Robert Honywood of Pett / in Charing Esq. / "Living piously together sixty three years and being ___ full of days cheerfully resigned his Soule____/the hands of the Almighty ___ / Here being aged 78/She aged 77 years."

Thompson-14706 and Thompson-4538 appear to represent the same person because: Birthdates are off [about 1550 vs. 1569], but rest of information shows to be the same person.

During the Merge of Henry Thompson and Henry Thompson, both were married to Dorthy (Honeywood) Thompson 1589.

Four children are listed: William Thompson [Thompson-598] born 1576 [Different mother? Or Sibling of Henry Thompson?] John Thompson Sr. [Thompson-14705] born 1589 Anthony Thompson Sr. [Thompson-556] born 1612 John Thompson [Thompson-649] born in 1631. [Perhaps this is the son of John Sr. ?]

Father/son and records have been mixed.
