Rene Terriot was born in 1721. He was the son of Joseph Thériot and Marguerite Melanson. Baptized 1721/12/14 at Grand Pre. [1] His godparents were Rene Leblanc and Marguerite Bourg.[2]
When he was 23, Rene married Anne Leblanc, age 21, daughter of Rene Leblanc and Marguerite Hebert 23 Nov 1744 at Saint Charles des Mines, Grand-Pré, Acadia.[3][4]
On March 8, 1786, Rene Theriot, son of Joseph Theriot and Marguerite Melanson, was one of the seventy Acadien heads of families, the founders of Arichat Parish , that thanked the lieutenant governor of Cape Breton, J.F.W. DesBarres, "for the promise of land concessions, the permission to construct a church and school, and the request for tax exemptions."[5]

pp 71 Will 1794 "In County Courthouse of Cape Breton, SUCCESSIONS, vol. A, fol. 21: testament of René TERRIO. René left his property ("biens") to his son Victor, and made him executor along with son-in-law Joseph DUGAS. After this son-in-law died, René replaced him as executor with Pierre BABIN. When Pierre BABIN died, he was replaced by Fabien FOUGERE. The will was probated ("déposé") on 17 May 1810 by the court at Sydney."

Terriot-117 and Theriot-125 appear to represent the same person because: Same spouse, same son Joseph who was married to Anne Boudrot. Merging into Theriot-125, closer to standard name Thériot.
Teriot-7 and Theriot-125 appear to represent the same person because: I believe they are the same people. With same baptism date (see baptism source on Pierre). KTR gives Rene a Pierre name as well. Landry shows no Pierre in that family. Parents are correct.
