Biography

Clement was born about 1788, based on his age at time of death.

Clement and Anne were married in August 19, 1816, as recorded on the Grand-Digue church register. Groom's parents were Joseph Theriot and Marie Suret from Naboujagan. Bride's parents were Jean Arseneau and Madleine Godet from Grand-Digue. Witnesses were Marin Theriot (groom's brother), Jean Arseneau (bride's father), and Joseph Arseneau (bride's cousin).

Clement was listed on the 1851 New Bunswick Census as follows: Clemon Therrieau, husband, 62 years; Amy, wife, 53; John, son, 18; Susan, daughter, 17;, Melia, daughter, 14; Paul, son, 12; and Billine, daughter, 10.

In the 1861 census Clemond (age 72) was listed as the father-in-law of Domanik White in Dundas, Kent, New Brunswick.^[1]

Clement died August 6, 1867, and his funeral service was held on August 8, 1867, as recorded in the Barachois church register. He was 79 years old. His wife was Anne Arsenault.
