Maternal relationship is confirmed by an autosomal Family Tree DNA test match between Robert Terry and Rebecca Terry, his mother (direct ancestor). Predicted relationship from Family Tree DNA: Mother/Son, based on sharing 3384 cM across 23 segments.
Maternal relationship is confirmed by FMS Family Tree DNA test match between Robert Terry and Rebecca Terry, his mother (direct ancestor). Predicted relationship from Family Tree DNA: Mother/Son, based on sharing Haplogroup H1 with 0 mutations.
Paternal relationship is confirmed through Y-chromosome DNA testing. Robert Terry, FTDNA kit #35526, and his 4th cousin two times removed J Terry, FTDNA kit #311266, match at a Genetic Distance of 4 on 111 markers thereby confirming their direct paternal lines back to their MRCA John Terry. FTDNA indicates that the probability the two share a common ancestor within the last 12 generations is 99.59% and within the last 8 generations is 95.65%
Paternal relationship is confirmed through BigY-700 DNA testing. Robert Terry, FTDNA kit #35526, and his 4th cousin two times removed J Terry, FTDNA kit #311266, have the confirmed Y-SNP of I-Y131229 thereby confirming their direct paternal lines back to their MRCA John Terry. There are a total of 7 mismatches on 611 Y-STR markers.
