At first, she was buried in Montparnesse Cemetery, Paris, but when her headstone was damaged in the Franco-German War, her descendants moved her (& her damaged headstone) to St Nicholas , Thames Ditton, Surrey, as that is where her Campbell Descendants were living.

No one knows where she was born but it is highly unlikely to be Newfoundland! It is much more likely to be near Paris, France.

She is supposed to be the illegitimate daughter of Mme de Genlis and Louis Philippe II, Duke of Orléans.. They took immense pains to cover up her bith.

She was brought up in France .
