Julia Elizabeth Styles was born in 1870 in Hanborough, Oxfordshire[1]. She was the daughter of William Stiles and Eliza Eaton. Her baptism took place in Hanborough on 17th April 1870[2]. Her father stated on the register that he was a labourer.
Marriage
James Hubert Woodward and Julia Elizabeth Styles were married in Church Hanborough, Oxfordshire on 7th May 1898[3]. They were bachelor and spinster and both living in Long Hanborough at the time. James was 22, a plate layer and the son of Samuel Woodward who was also a platelayer. Julia was 28 and the daughter of William Styles who was a mason. The witnesses to the marriage were William Styles, Herbert Amos Rose, Laura Ellen Styles and Agnes Ann Styles[4].
