Elizabeth Stork was born in Nafferton, in the East Riding of Yorkshire, and it was there that Elizabeth and her husband Joseph raised at least four children. However, Elizabeth died when she was between 29 and 30 years old, and when her children were all younger than 7 years old.
Biography
Elizabeth Stork was born in about 1753 in Nafferton, in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England, and she was christened there on the 1st of July 1753. Elizabeth's parents were John Stork and Elizabeth (Graton) Stork.[1][2]
Elizabeth was one of at least four children born to John and Elizabeth; her three siblings were William (1742),[3] Mary (1755),[4] and Sarah (1757),[5] who were all born and christened in Nafferton.
When Elizabeth was about 28 years old, in 1781, she married 32 year old Joseph Hope who was from Sherburn in Elmet,[6] which was in the West Riding of Yorkshire and about 45 miles from Nafferton, on the 16th of April in Nafferton.[7]
Elizabeth and Joseph had at least four children together who were Thomas (1782),[8] Margaret (1783),[9] Elizabeth (1786) who died in childhood,[10] and Elizabeth (1787),[11] who were all born and christened in Nafferton.
Elizabeth passed away between 1787 and 1789, when she was between 29 and 31 years old, in Nafferton, and her three surviving children were all under 7 years old.[12]
