Allen Webster[1] Steely was born in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania on the 7th of Feb 1859 to John Steely[2][1] and Mary Haffa[2][1].
He married Mary Ann Dilger[2] on the 1st of November, 1882 in Black Hawk, Iowa[1] and they would have:

His final home would be at 317 E Millan Ave., Waterloo, Black Hawk, Iowa[2] and he would be a farmer for life[2]
He died on the 21st of November, 1934 in Waterlook, Black Hawk, Iowa[2], he would be buried in Fairview Cemetery, in Waterloo[2], Black Hawk County, Iowa[11]
ALLEN W. STEELY, 75, DIES AT HOME[12]
Black Hawk County Resident since 1869; Funeral Sunday Afternoon.
Allen W. Steely,75, died at 9 pm Wednesday at his home, 317 Mullan avenue east, of heart and kidney disease, and complications. he had been bedfast for the last two weeks.
Mr. Steely had been a resident of Waterloo for 26 years, moving here from a farm in Bennington township.
Born in Pennsylvania.
He was born Feb. 7, 1859, in Schuylkill county, Pennsylvania, the son of John M and Mary Steely. He came to Iowa with his parents when he was 10 yars old, the family settling on a farm 13 miles northeast of Waterloo, in Bennington township.
Mr. Steely married Miss Mary A Dilger Nov 1, 1882, at Waterloo. He was a member of First Evangelicial church.
Seven Children Survive
Surviving besides his widow are three sons, rev. R.A. Steely, Des Moines; William E Steely, 226 Bertch avenue west, and Clinton C. Steely, 311 Vermont street; four daughters, Mrs. Dan Holdiman, Mrs. Roman Telsinger and Mrs. Russell Sage, all of Dunkerton, and Mrs. Harry L. Kuffman, 902 Steely street; also six brothers, Harry H. Steely, Grant highway; Ellsworth M. Steely, 212 Franklin street; John H. Steely, 409 Second street east; Joel W. Steely, 201 Franklin street; D.O. Steely, Doland S.D; and N.R Steely, Huron, S.D.; also one sister Mrs. Cora Paul, 112 Franklin street, A son preceded him in death in infancy.
Funeral services will be at 2 pm Sunday in First Evangelical church. Rev. J.S. Deedrick, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview cemetery.
The body was taken to the parrott & Wood funeral home.
