Mary (Statham) Bower was born in Spondon, Derbyshire, England.

Mary Statham was baptised on December 26, 1744 at St Werburgh Church in Spondon, Derbyshire, England, daughter of John and Hannah Stratham.^[1]

Mary married John Bower by licence on July 22, 1796 at St Chad's Church in Wilne, Derbyshire.^[2] At the time of their marriage both were living in Draycott, Derbyshire.

Together they had the following children:
