"Allen Robertson SPENCER, 78, died at Culver Hospital at 4:50o'clock Sunday morning. He had been ill several years.

Mr. Spencer was born Dec 29, 1867 in Parke County and was the son of George Washingtonand Mary Clark Spencer.

He married Bertha Canine on April 8, 1903.

He moved to Waveland 5 years ago after retiring.

He was a member of the Christian Church.

Surviving are his wife; five brothers,

John Spencer of Indianapolis

Jesse Spencer;

Wilbur Spencer of Waveland;

Frank Spencer

Fred of Greene Twp;

two sisters,

Miss Arla Spencer of Chicago

Mrs. Elmer McCutcheon of Greene Twp

and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at 2 Tuesday afternoon at the ChristianChurch. Burial was in the Old Union Cemetery with the Rev. John Serviesin charge.
