Biography
Jane Spencer was born circa 1462 at of Hodnell, Warwickshire, England.[1]
Father: William Spencer, Esq. b. ca. 1430, d. ca.1485
Mother: Elizabeth Empson b. ca. 1440, sister of Sir Richard Empson, minister to Henry VII.
Jane Spencer first married William Saunders, Esq., son of William Saunders and Joan Carew, circa 1481.[2]
After her first husband, William Saunders , passed away, before 29 January 1493/94, when his will was proven, Jane (Spencer) Saunders married widower Sir William Cope, son of Alexander Cope, before September 1496. [3] [4] [5]
Jane (Spencer) Cope died on 12 February 1526 in Oxfordshire, England. She is buried at St. Mary the Virgin Churchyard, Banbury, Cherwell District, Oxfordshire, England. [6]
