Allen trained as a blacksmith but spent most of his life as a farmer.
Mr. Spencer was 83 years old and made his home in Greece for the past fifty years. He was born in Hamlin. He leaves a daughter, Miss Minnie Spencer.
He was the grandson of Allen and Ruth Spencer.
