Biography
Christian was born on the 19th March 1817 the son of William Whitaker Spence (~1789 - 1847) and Margaret (Reid) Spence (1785 - ~1867), and he was christened on the 1st May 1818 at All Saints Church, Newcastle upon Tyne, Northumberland, England.[1]

Christian married Isabella Pattison on the 6th May 1841 in Durham. She was 21 years old.[2]
Isabella died on 6th Oct 1849, aged 34 at Newcastle upon Tyne, Northumberland, England, United Kingdom.[3]
1841 Census on the 6th June 1841 Christian a shipwright, was living in Clemence Street, Newcastle upon Tyne, Northumberland with his wife Isabella, and her mother Isabella.[4]
1851 Census on the 30th March 1851 Christian a shipwright, was living in Newcastle upon Tyne with his parents-in-law Thomas and Isabella Pattison, his children Thomas and Alfred.[5]
Christopher died aged 37 on the 16th September 1854 at Newcastle upon Tyne, Northumberland, England, United Kingdom.[6][7]
