Sylvia was born on 17 October 1914 at South Brownsville, Fayette Co, Pennsylvania, USA. She was the daughter of Isaac Herman Southard and Alice May Anderson. She was baptized on 27 January 1924 at South Brownsville, Fayette Co, Pennsylvania, USA.^[1] Sylvia was employed. She married John Alexander Hogg on 1 January 1939 at Atlantic City, Atlantic Co, NJ. Sylvia died on 17 August 2004 at Brevard, Transylvania Co, N.C., at age 89.^[2] She was cremated on 18 August 2004 at Asheville, NC. Ashes scattered as requested in the Atlantic Ocean off Cocoa beach, FL in early November 2004 by Ron Horton and members of his family.^[3]
