Hi John, the US Civil War Project is conducting a Check-in for 2024 to see if your still interested/active in the Project.

I'm looking forward to hearing from you. You can click the reply button or message me with your answer. Thank you. Pam Kreutzer, Leader of the US Civil War Project

I apologize for not being more active here. I have a big interest in Military, Family in Colonial Soldiers, Revolution . War of 1812, Civil War, WW1, WW2, Korea, Vietnam (Vietnam is me, Fighter Pilot 122 Combat Missions)

Anyway I have 4 Civil War with 2 North and 2 South as direct ancestors. Maybe another North with a GAR on his grave but no records I can find. Plus 2nd cousins information I am clear to publish as needed.

I have an original copy of the Eighty Fifth Regiment Pennsylvania Infantry published 1915 467 Pages. Includes George Anderson my ancestor at Fort Wagner. Also an original copy of History of the 103rd Regiment Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry published 1910 400 pages. Includes my ancestor William Penberthy, captured, survived Andersonville.

Also books on 34th and 7th Virginia (Picketts) Infantry.

Great uncle Picketts Charge at Gettysburg, wounded, captured, survived.

Others

I will get this done.

I have been inactive for a while and changed my email which caused me to lose my connection to my family. I am back

I will be participating. I have 4 ancestors who fought, 2 from Northern Virginia, 2 from SW Pa. All were in the battle at Seven Pines, and all survived the war. Also, some uncles. Also, on my wife's side an Ancestor who was the Color Sgt for the 27th Pa till wounded at Bull Run. A mystery, an ancestor with a GAR marker on his grave but I cant find any service. All I have is totally limited to Pa and Virginia

I have books on the 34th Virginia, 7th Virginia and Regimental Histories if the 85th Pa and the 103st Pa. Have some pictures of the Rush Ross post of the Gar, Somerset Co, Pa with one of my Ancestors

Hello,

I am checking in on behalf of the 1776 Project to announce the new project membership requirements and to verify that you are still interested in being a member of the project. All project members are being asked to join one of the project teams and also to make at least one project contribution every 6 months. We are also asking all project members to join the project's Google Group for project communications.

If you are interested in remaining with the Project, please reply to this comment or send me a message, request to join the Google Group, and let us know what team you would like to participate on.

We really appreciate your contributions on WikiTree, and thank you for all your hard work. If you have any questions, please ask. We would also love to hear any feedback you may have for the project.

If we don't hear back from you we will assume that you no longer wish to participate in the project and if so, you could rejoin at any time as is convenient for you.

We look forward to hearing from you soon!

Hi John

It has been a couple of weeks since we contacted you about your participation in the Acadia Project and as we haven't heard from you, we are following up to make sure you wish to remain a member.

We understand that interests shift as we grow our shared tree and that some members may have moved on to projects more pertinent to the branches they are currently building. If this is the case for you, please let us know.

If we do not hear back from you within the week, we will assume you have moved on to other things for the moment and remove you from the project. Please know that you will always be welcome to rejoin should your interests shift back in this direction.

Thank you so much for your participation; we genuinely appreciate it.

Karen ~ Volunteer Coordinator

Hi John,

On behalf of the Acadians Project Leaders, we are doing a six-month check-in with members. Please let us know if you are still active. If you are active, please let us know in which ways you are currently contributing to the project.

All of us at WikiTree would like to thank you for your contributions and hope that you are enjoying exploring your roots.

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Karen ~ Volunteer Coordinator

I have been inactive for a while and changed my email which caused me to lose my connection to my family. I am back.

My interest in Acadia came from my grandson's other grandfather (now deceased) who said he never knew much about his mothers side. She was a Poche. Well, Poche's weren't Acadian but the Blanchard side was so I purchased Stephen White's Dictionnaire Genealogique Des Families Acadiennes and went to work reconstructing that family. Some very interesting stories and I am sure I still have much to learn. Have not worked on that for a while but my next project will be the Revolutionary Soldiers who fought with Galvez.

You might want to set your Privacy to Private with Public Family Tree. The WikiTree programming needs to see your Family Tree tab to make DNA and other cousin connections for you. Please take a look at my profile http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Cooper-1 where I use Private with Public Biography AND Family Tree to see a list of some of my WikiTree cousin connections and my list of U.S. Presidential cousins.

Welcome to the 1776 Project (http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:1776), a subproject of the Military and War Project: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Projects#Military_and_War_Project

There are category links to add to your ancestor's profiles and research links to learn more about your family. The Project is a good way to consolidate the WikiTree ancestors with historic connections to the years of 1773 (Boston Tea Party) to 1789 (ratification of the U.S. Constitution.) All patriot, loyalist, Hessians, French, Native Americans or any other profiles with a connection to these years should be linked to an appropriate category in the Project.

If you haven’t already, please set your preferences for your Tags Followed to include 1776 Project and any other tag terms that you wish to follow: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Special:Following

Some categories have a template (SAR) to add at the top of a biography. If not, add a category link by putting the category name such as Template:1776 for those who bore arms in the Revolution and Template:1776 for those who contributed patriotic or civil service. Thank you.

Hi John!

Welcome to WikiTree! Be sure to take a look at the link in the email you just got. It has important information to help you get started. :-)

WikiTree is different than other genealogy websites because our goal is to have one profile per person, and that means we share ancestors and work together as a BIG collaborative team!

What brings you to WikiTree? Do you have research you’d like to share? Are you interested in how your family fits into the big tree?

Confirm your email address, and you’ll be given an opportunity to fill in the Tags and comments to tell us about your genealogical interests.

Once you volunteer, one of our Greeters will confirm your membership, and you'll be able to add your family to the tree!

Happy Hunting, Cindy

I am not new. I joined in 2017 and actually put in several hundred names including 100 in one week.

But I changed my email without changing it here first and have lost my connection to my family. I have been unable to reconnect so am pretty frustrated.

I have DNA to upload in addition to many ancestors and a couple interesting stories

The parents of Hogg-1651 (me) are Hogg-1278 and Southard-578

How do I get reconnected
