Biography

Bertha Soper was born in 1885 to parents William Soper (1860-) and Sarah Hart (1861-).^[1] Her siblings were Lewis, Merriam, Ralph, Maude and Frank.

She married German Short on 5 Jan 1905 in Hant's Harbour.^[2]

In the 1921 Census, she was 38 years old living in Hant's Harbour with her husband, 4 daughters and adopted son, Frank Goodwin born in New Melbourne.^[3]

In the 1935 Census, she was 50 years old living in Hant's Harbour with her husband, German, age 56 and their four children.^[4]

She passed away of Consumption in Hant's Harbour in 1925.^[5][6]
