Communication Preferences: I am interested in communicating private message with anyone who shares the same genealogical or historical interests. Here is my family tree.
I've been interested in my family history for a long time, but it has only been recently that I got a DNA test (AS, Y, and mt) and started learning how to do genealogy research (helped greatly by cousin Kitty Smith). I'm happy to hear from people related to me. I was born in Grand Rapids MI but have lived in Australia since 1993.

Just for the record. At this point, I am the only person working on my profile. So related to questions of accuracy and sources. they are from me... as in, I have a birth certificate and I made a copy of it. My thinking is that I would like to have accurate info in my profile and at this point, I am the best person to provide it (which assumes I am being truthful).

Hi Gregg,

Thanks for having a Big Heart and adopting Orphan Profiles. You will want to read this After adopting orphans FAQ to understand what to do next and it explains the special attention those profiles need.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

Hello Gregg,

Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It is very important to read and understand the Help:Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.

Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.

Hi Gregg, you might want to add your autosomal DNA test and later your YDNA test to your profile. Then your tests will be propagated along your family lines. Here are all the Smith DNA tests on WikiTree: https://www.wikitree.com/index.php?title=Special:DNATests&s=SMITH&order=dobup&filterId=&filterType=
