Gertrude Jessie Slee. daughterof George and Amelia Slee, was born between April 1881 and June 1881 in Okehampton, Devon, England[1].

1891 Census

In the 1891 Census, Gertrude Jessie, aged 9, is one of the five children of George (37), a Farmer and Grocer, and Amelia, 32, residing at 4, East Street, Okehampton, Devon, England. The other chidren are Florence Millie (12), Gertrude Jessie (9), William Coombe (7), Sidney W.C. (4) and Wilfred R. (11 months)[2].

Marriage

Gertrude Jessie Slee married Thomas Price in Okehampton District, Devon. Their marriage was registered between April 1903 and June 1903.[3] [4].

1911 Census

At the time of the 1911 Census, 32 year old Gertrude Jessie, and her husband, Thomas Price, a 47 year old Fruiterer and Greengrocer, together with their children, Gertrude Jessie (7), Rowland Thomas (5), William Ernest (4), Edith Frances (2) and Stella May (1 month) were living at Fair Place, Okehampton, Devon, England. They had a 23 year old general domestic servant, Annie Wright.[5].

Death

Gertrude J. Price died aged 80 in Poole District, Dorset, England. Her death was registered between January and March 1962[6].
