Harriet (Simpson) Bowser is a part of US Black heritage.

Harriet M. Simpson was born on 22 August 1830 in Pennsylvania, United States to Jos. Simpson. [1]

(Harriet may have been married to Robert Brice. She has a son named Samuel Brice. Robert Brice was the name of Samuel's father on his marriage record.)

Harriet was married to Rolfe Bowser. In 1870, Harriet and Rolfe were living in Kalamazoo, Kalamazoo, Michigan, United States with a son, Samuel Brice. [2]

In 1880, Harriet was living in Grand Rapids, Kent, Michigan, United States with her son, Samuel. Harriet was listed as widowed. [3]

In 1900, Harriet was living in Grand Rapids, Kent, Michigan, United States with her son, Samuel and his wife, Anna. She had reportedly had 1 child by this time, that one child was still living (Samuel). [4]

In 1910, Harried continued to live in Grand Rapids, Kent, Michigan, United States with her son, Samuel, and his family. [5]

Harriet passed away on 7 December 1912 at her home in Walker, Kent, Michigan, United States. The cause of death was nephritis and old age. [6] She is buried at Greenwood Cemetery in Grand Rapids, Kent County, Michigan, United States. [7] (Harriet's death certificate bears the last name Bowser. He gravestone bears the last name Brice.)
