Biography
Johann Jacob Schober was born 12 Mar 1743 in Horrheim, Herzogtum Württemberg to Johannes Schober and Anna Barbara Melber, and was baptized 14 Mar 1743.[1][2]
Jacob married Elisabetha Knodel on 11 Aug 1778 in Horrheim.[3] They had 5 children:[2]
- Johann Jakob, b. 27 Nov 1779
- Elisabetha Margaretha, b. 15 Oct 1783
- Johannes, b. 22 Sep 1786
- Catharina Barbara, b. 25 Nov 1789
- Gottliebin, b. 17 Nov 1792
Jacob was a citizen and "Wagner" of Horrheim.[2][4]
Jacob died 6 Feb 1795 in Horrheim, age 52y less 1m, and was buried there 8 Feb 1795.[4]
Wife's Name
Jacob's wife is referred to in some records as Anna Barbara Melber[5]. However this is his mother's name.[2] Most likely the wrong information got recorded one place in the church books and then copied to other records.
