In notes from her sister, Amalia Schneider is referred to as Molly, a common nickname for someone named Amalia.. In the 1930 census, when she would have been 15-16, she is called Marie, which is not so common. It's possible her middle name was Marie, but I haven't found an official record to confirm that. The Marie Schneider noted above may have not been Molly Schneider; it may have referred to her step-sister Marie Dortman. Marie appears to be listed along with other siblings as Schneider children, when their father was actually Mr. Dortman. If this is correct, then Molly Schneider may not be listed on this census with her family members, which is unusual, since she would be only 14 years old and probably too young to be living elsewhere. She cannot be the Amelia Schneider listed in this census, since Amelia is 5 years younger than Amalia "Molly" Schneider. Additionally, Amelia Schneider is listed as a separate daughter in Philip Schneider's obituary:

"Molly Catherine Glish, 94, a Manitowoc resident, died Sunday, Nov. 22, 2009, with her daughter, granddaughter and great- granddaughter by her side.

"Molly was born Jan. 31, 1915, in Fond du Lac, to Phillip and Molly Fritzler Schneider.

"She was married to Glenn Hostettler on April 28, 1935.

"Together they owned and operated Happy's Cafe in Antigo from 1937 to 1968. Her husband preceded her in death on Dec. 12, 1977.

"She then married Lucky Boswell on July 20, 1979, in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on Dec. 2, 1979.

"On April 7, 1984, she married Edward Glish in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on Nov. 19, 2001.

"Molly was a very loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and loved to be with her family. She was a member of First German Lutheran Church in Manitowoc.
