Amadee was the son of Guillame Saurette and Julie Poirier. He was born in 1849, in St-Jean-Baptiste, Quebec, Canada. He married Arzelie Marie Marcille on January 19, 1869, in his hometown. They had 18 children. He died on September 18, 1915, in Letellier, Manitoba, Canada, at the age of 66, and was buried in Manitoba, Canada.
