He married Ursula Spitz in the local Reformed church on 21 November 1680.[1] Together, they had four daughters and three sons.

Estimated Birth Year: Based on the minimum age of 18 at marriage
Marriage Entry Transcript: "Görg Rutz, und Ursula Spitzin eodem [d. 21 9bris]." Translation: "Görg Rutz, and Ursula Spitzin with the same [date = the 21 November]."
Buial: Based on his wife Ursula being listed as a widow at the time of her burial, Georg died before 28 October 1723. The surviving burial register for the Reformed church in Buchs starts in January 1720 but no entry has been found between 1720 and 1723. It is therefore likely that Georg died between 1697 when his last child was born and January 1720. There is a possibility that he was buried outside the community but with his family still in Buchs and no potential locality given in the records related to his family, it is unlikely.
