Biography

Josef Rossa was born on May 24, 1862 in Damírov, Bohemia to Václav Rossa and Frantiska Vrana^[1].

He came to the United States around 1886 and married Frances Kopietz shortly after. They had six children:

1. Antoinette Roza born June 1887 in Omaha
2. Joseph Frank Roza born June 15, 1888 in Omaha
3. Charles Henry Roza born January 6, 1890 in Omaha
4. Mary Roza born March 16, 1891 in Omaha
5. Louis Frank Roza born January 1893 in Omaha
6. James Roza born June 1895 in Omaha

He married a second time to Frantiska Adamova on August 30, 1898 in Omaha, Douglas, Nebraska^[2]. They had three children:

1. Agnes Roza born June 16, 1899 in Omaha
2. Emme Roza born July 22, 1903 in Omaha
3. Frances Roza born July 7, 1904 in Omaha

Joseph passed away on December 29, 1935 in Highland, Sarpy, Nebraska at the age of seventy-three^[3]. He is buried at Saint Mary's Cemetery in Omaha^[4].
