Daughter of Johannes Ritter, Einwohner and Gemeindsmann of Angelhof bei Seckmauern, by his wife Anna Maria Heimbüchner, Anna Apollonia Ritter was born at 10 o'clock at night on November 22, 1799 at the farmstead den Angelhof, and was baptized the following day with her Gevatterin being Anna Apollonia, wife of Anton Hock, Bürger and Schiffmann of Wörth-am-Main.[1]
Marriage and Children
Her marriage to Johann Michael Hillerich at Seckmauern on November 18, 1819 is recorded in the Catholic parish register of Breuberg. They were the parents of thirteen children, ten of them born at Seckmauern:
Bernhard Hillerich[2] (born at Angelhof bei Seckmauern before his parents' marriage)
Andreas Martin Hillerich[13] (born in Louisville, Kentucky)
Maria Eva Hillerich[14] (2nd) (born in Louisville, Kentucky)
Immigration
With her husband and children, Apollonia's name appears on the passenger list of the ship Schiller of Bremen recorded upon its arrival in the port of Baltimore on October 7, 1842.[15]

Residence in Louisville
She was enumerated in the 1850,[16] 1860,[17] and 1870[18] censuses of Louisville, and resided at #20 Geiger Street, near the corner of Campbell. Apollonia and her husband Michael were parishioners of St Boniface Church, one of Louisville's German Catholic congregations.
Death and Burial
Her obituary was published in the Louisville Anzeiger.[19] Her funeral was held at St Boniface Church and her remains were interred at St Louis Catholic Cemetery.[20]
