Audree, the name data that you have entered for yourself in WikiTree name fields looks very unusual.

I think the name "Bymarr'geBRYAN" may be an attempt to say that Bryan is your last name by marriage. The name field is only supposed to include names. We can explain details like "by marriage" in the Biography section. If Rice is your last name at birth and Bryan is your current last name because it is your last name by marriage, then you should put Bryan in the Current Last Name field, and skip the "By marriage" part. If you do not currently use Bryan as your last name, then put it in the "Other Last Names" field and put your current last name in that field.

Is your first name Audree-Dalzell, or is Dalzell your middle name? Note that there is a data field here for "Middle Name."

Ur correct.

Honestly Seeley whoukd be the line connected to MARY E YORK, Merton, my dad's dad, mother. All mayflower stock. She remarried, Merton absorbed Rice. My father probably never knew. Osborn is a no name, my mother remarried after our father. So, some know me as Osborn others rice. Bryan is my married name but I think I'm just Audtee Dalzell . Adding nobody mens names is crazy. No blood there.

Oh yes, I'm so good at research, but NOT merging, correcting . Merging makes me crazy I always mess up :(
Rice-9721 and Rice-3818 do not represent the same person because: No possible way these could be the same person.

Hi audree-DALZELL,

Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles!

It’s very important to read and understand the Help:Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines laid out on that page.

Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.

Hey Dave.

You know I have history going way back past that. Clearly the test will be harder to qualify. York and Dalzell ( my middle name, York is my older brothers, the li e has never been broken) Go way back and the marriages they made, blow ur mind.

I have so many lines.

Magna Carta, mayflower, Scottish , Irish, add some french , some land and marrying 'UP' as they say and I should be in so many projects.

Hi there Audree- I noticed your thank-yous- would you like to be added to trusted list of any of the Rice family members I have added?

wow. I should read my messages!

well, i'd love too but I have no information. Along the way I also discovered, my GG, Merton K Rice, is actually Merton Seeley. a census has him living with his maternal grandparents at the age of 1, or 3. his mother, Mary York, remarried Laughlin Rice. then the three lived in Kings, New rochelle, New York. Id bet there was never an adoption. he just assumed Rice. My father then being an only child, both men possibly never knowing, gave Rice to us. tragic. u never know what u will discover. I have no idea where Merton went off too. I cant even find details on his father, sad to be Elmer Rae Seeley. Mary and He hailed from Yarmouth area. thank u for asking me :)

I'm fast right.

Well. I don't know. Rice was a second husband. My grandfather who was born SEELEY used it then my father. Lawrence then his son Laughlin are the Rice line. Not by blood though. All the ghost's from the past I have turned up is nuts.

Hi Audree,

Thanks for volunteering! You are now a full member of the WikiTree community, and can start adding your family. Let me know if you have any questions.

Since WikiTree is different from other genealogy sites, we have a guided tour for new members at New Member How-To. Feel free to work through the How-Tos at your own pace.

Once you add profiles to WikiTree they become searchable and in my experience persons interested in these profiles will contact you and may provide further information to expand your family tree.

Great to have you on board, enjoy, and good luck growing your branches.

Ludwig :)

PS If links do not work in an email from WikiTree, try them from the comment section of your profile page.

Hi Dalzell,

I see you are working on merges. Please review our Matching and Merging FAQ to understand your responsibilities in doing merges.

During a merge, the text from the merged-away profile is appended to the end of the text of the merged-into profile. After a merge, you will need to clean up the text by removing duplicate information and consolidating what is left leaving the profile with a single Biography section and a single Sources section.

The Help page on Biographies has a lot of great information on what to include and what to omit in a Biography.

Please also review all other family members for potential duplicates and review any conflicts in parents.

Hi Dalzell,

You don't need to remove any Rice children from parents. All you need to do is agree to merge the duplicate profiles. That will make sure that your Rice ancestry lines up correctly. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!
