Biography

Frank Reitz was born about 1892 in New York. He was the son of Vincenzo Reitz and Anna (Russo) Reitz.

Frank never married or had any children. He was paralyzed from the waist down and he had severe learning delays.

Following the incarceration of his parents in July 1908, Frankie was placed in the Rome Correctional School, an orphanage for special needs children.

Frank passed away on 14 Oct 1914 in Rome, Oneida, New York.^[1] He was buried at Saint Peter's Cemetery in Oswego, Oswego, New York.^[2]

Frank Reitz, the fourteen-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. James Reitz, who are in the County Jail, charged with the murder of Murphy Cook was taken to the Rome Custodial school today by Inspector Carey of the Department of Charity. The boy was fitted out with a new suit, cap and shoes yesterday and difficulty was encountered in obtaining a cap to fit him as his head is abnormally developed.^[3]
