Communication Preferences: I am interested in communicating private message with anyone who shares the same genealogical or historical interests. Here is my family tree.
I concentrate on direct ancestors. Although I've encountered some interesting rabbit holes. My descendants are all living, thus are all private. Privacy restrictions of various sources and WikiTree prevent much information about descendants and other living relatives.

I’ve worked in software development/engineering roles for decades, specializing in data communications (ISO levels 1-6) for Fortune 100 companies, foreign and domestic . I don’t consider myself being much of a database expert, but they were often the end points of the data communications channels I worked with. Most of my WikiTree work has been done on an Apple 11.5 inch iPad, occasionally with pencil. That's been supplemented with an iPhone and a 16 inch MacBook Pro.

Jerry, saw your apple iCloud Photos question in G2G (now closed). It looks like you can share a collection of Apple iCloud Photos (assuming you back up your Photos pics to iCloud). Maybe this will work? https://support.apple.com/guide/icloud/share-photos-and-videos-mm93a9b98683/icloud#Overview

I assume you are trying to share a link to a Photos album, the same way one would share a Google Drive folder or a Dropbox folder.

After further review...

Yes, if the Photos were not in a 'Shared' library. Maybe I'll experiment later. /s/jr

Hi Jerry,

Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles!

It’s very important to read and understand the Help:Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines laid out on that page.

Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.

Welcome Gerald

We are so happy you decided to upgrade to the Family Member level.

Please visit our tutorial pages to learn how to use WikiTree: New Member How To Use WikiTree. They will save you time, energy, and frustration as you add your family profiles.

Exploring the site is the best way to learn. One way to do that is to check out the drop-down menus on the top right side of your profile page. Finding a known ancestor and collaborating with the profile manager is another great way to start.

Questions? You can always use the G2G link in the Help Menu to find answers.
