Mary Jane Read was born on 25 Nov 1880 in Rockport, Sackville, Westmorland, New Brunswick, Canada, daughter of Rufus Hemry (Read) Reade (1850 - 1918) and Lilliah J. (Babcock) Read (~1857 - 1938).
Her siblings were:
- Ernest Edmund Read (1883 - 1958)
- Lillian Oressa (Read) Tingley (1893 - 1918)
Mary married William Cole (born in Dorchester, Westmorland on 14 Sep 1865; died in Westmorland in 1906), son of James Cole and Sarah Ann Fowler. Their children were:
- Arnold R. Cole (1904 - )
- Norman W. Cole (1905 - 1911).
Mary died on 13 Sep 1906 in New Brunswick aged 25. She is buried in Rockport Cemetery, Rockport.[1]
