Biography

William came to Western Australia as a prisoner on the Phoebe Dunbar, arriving on 30 August 1853.[1]

He married Margaret McKeown on 12 January 1860 in York.[2]

William was a farmer at Beverley, then Jennacubbine, and was a Northam mail contractor. He employed three Ticket of Leave men on occasions 1864, 1866 and 1871, one a teamster.[3]

William died on 5 August 1874 at York.[3]
